J.O.Y bsg Spring Outing 2009

Moscovites are having holiday on this particular day-The Victory’s day. So, an idea flashed through Angeline’s mind - outing with Joy group. Everyone in Joy group was so eager and excited to participate in this very first outing.
It was a serene Saturday morning with hot, blazing Sun in the cheerful blue sky. The air was refreshing. We took off from hostel at 11.30am. Yes !!! as you expected we did show our tradition---taking picture wherever we go! We took lots of pictures on the way to Kievskaya for cruise ride on the infamous Moscow River. After Angeline purchased the cruise tickets, we get into the ship and chose a comfortable spots on top of the ship which is open air.
Oh ya, you might ask how do we feeling while on the cruise? “Relaxing”, this word is more than enough to describe it. The wind blows on my face gently, what a great feeling! As the cruise moving on its own sweet pace, we could see many beautiful sceneries and buildings. For instance, Cathedral of Christ the Savior, The King Peter’s statue, several buildings of The “Seven Sisters” and many more. We even saw outgoing Russians having sunbath along the river!
Time flew so fast until we didn’t realize that we were on the cruise for 1 hour already. Hungry??? OF COURSE! So we enjoyed the so-called Special Angeline-Style Ham Sandwich. We would like to confess some “sin” that we commit on the cruise, that’s being to “passionate” until the peace on the cruise was chased away. We get to know 2 pretty Russians on the ship. They were so friendly. We talked with them about the culture in Malaysia and we even sang songs to them. Marcus Chuah as our guitarist leads us with the Malaysia folk song-“Rasa Sayang”, and several Chinese and English songs. We were intoxicated in the songs, and ‘m sure they were enjoying too.
After saying goodbye with the 2 Russians at the last stop of the cruise ride at Park Kulturi, we continue our journey according to the agenda of the day. Park Kulturi, it was a nice and huge theme park. First, we looked for a shady place for picnic as everyone was worn out. It’s eating session again as everyone was hungry for walking for a long time. Sandwich again! AGAIN??? Don’t you tired with that? Nono.. It was delicious because it was prepared with LOVE by Angeline. After eating, we divided into few groups and carry out activities according to respective interests. People who like to take photograph would like to walk around the park to capture this memorable moment, and it’s perfectly suit me, and for sure each and every JOY group member will join this instead of sitting around doing nothing. Some who was really exhausted for walking the whole day would like to take a short break by playing guitar, chess and card games after the photo session.
Without realizing the time ticking silently, it was 6 o’clock. It’s time to go back home? NO! Before we went back to our hostel, we went to New-Arbat Street to have our dinner. It was a Japanese restaurant. No doubt, the food was really delicious and saliva-stimulating. It’s hard to describe it with words, I suggest you to go yourselves to experience how delicious the food is! After we had our dinner, we went back to our hostel by metro.
In a nutshell, we enjoy in this outing very much and I can say that the bond between our relationships grows even stronger and we know each other even more. Thanks God for the safe and sound journey and also the fellowship we had with our brothers and sisters!
